Commentary:
RESULT: CCC beat T&T by 151 runs. Scores: CCC 234 (Phillips 88, Khan 4 f 58) & 148 f 5 decl (Phillips 70*, Mohammed 1 f 11) and T&T 107 (D Ganga 44, Kantasingh 6 f 29) & 124 (Guillen 31, Kantasingh 6 f 55)
52ov [. W] 124 all out. Rampaul not out 0. That's it! All over for T&T. CCC beat the Trinis and the weather to register a thumping first round victory over a sorry T&T unit who batted like pure novices barring their captain Daren Ganga in the first innings. That's it from Jarrett Park. We will update the scorecard a little later. Congratulations to Floyd Reifer who captained his side phenomenally well and the CCC.
WICKET! D Mohammed stp Walton b Austin 11. 124 all out from 51.2 overs.
51ov [W . . . . .] 124/9. Mohammed 11*, Rampaul 0*. Just one more needed by CCC now. One wicket and it will be a fantastic triumph over a lacklautre TT batting unit.
WICKET! A Jaggernauth b Kantasingh 1. 124/9. BOWLED HIM! Went a little too far across and had his leg stump rattled. Kantasingh has a dozen wickets in the match. A career highlight performance this is. Last man Ravi Rampaul is in now.
50ov [1 . . . . nb .] 124/8. Mohammed 12*, Jaggernauth 1*. Mohammed's bat is broad in defence as "Stay there Taddy!" is the regular refrain from the Trini dressing room. (Taddy is Mohammed's nickname).
49ov [. . . . . .] 122/8. Mohammed 11*, Jaggernauth 0*. Maiden by Kantasingh.
48ov [. 4 . 1 . nb .] 122/8. Mohammed 11*, Jaggernauth 0*. Misfield allows Mohammed a boundary.
47ov [. . . W . .] 116/8. Mohammed 6*, Jaggernauth 0*. CCC looking to beat the rain. Can the last three Trini batsmen resist long enough? Mohammed is curbing his naturally aggressive style, Jaggernauth can stick around.
WICKET! R Emrit lbw Kantasingh 11. 116/8. Played back and that would have missed both off and leg stump. It would have flattened the middle stump. Just 2 wickets for CCC now. Kantasingh 19.4-7-55-5. Another 5-fer for Kantasingh. He's ripping T&T to shreds.
46ov [2 . . . . .] 112/7. Emrit 11*, Mohammed 6*. Mohammed goes over mid on for 2. Still a drizzle but the umpires are playing on. Message coming out from the dressing room for the batsmen now.
45ov [4 . . . . .] 110/7. Emrit 11*, Mohammed 4*. That drizzle is getting a little harder now. Will it be T&T's saving grace? Bennett's off, Austin's back.
44ov [. . . . . 4] 106/7. Emrit 7*, Mohammed 4*. Mohammed off the mark with a boundary.
43ov [. . . 4 . .] 106/7. Emrit 7*, Mohammed 0*. Straight four by Emrit but edged just short of Reifer at first slip. Kantasingh has them in a spin. Another drinks break. There is rain in the distance and the Trinis will have their eyes on it and hoping it drifts towards Jarrett Park. Just 3 wickets needed for CCC.
42ov [. . . . . .] 102/7. Emrit 3*, Mohammed 0*. Mohammed put down by Austin at mid on. That's another catch that should have been taken. Poor work by Austin. Another catch goes down off Bennett who should have had four in the bag.
41ov [. . . . . .] 102/7. Emrit 3*, Mohammed 0*. Maiden by Kantasingh. Had a loud shout for a catch at bat pad but turned down by umpire Noble. My, my! There was a loud woody sound there that surely sounded like bat rather than pad. CCC players are gutted.
40ov [1 . . W nb . .] 102/7. Emrit 3*, Mohammed 0*. Bennett is backing up well, keeping a probling off stump line and he has been rewarded by the Trini batsmen with two wickets.
Barbados are chasing 91 for 4 at Kensington Park against Leeward Islands.
WICKET! R Kelly c wkt Walton b Bennett 4. 101/7. Kelly had no right even playing at that. He flayed at it and hit it hard to the keeper. An irresponsible shot there from Kelly. He should have let that go by. This is not the sort of professional effort we've come to expect from the Trinidadians.
39ov [. . . 2 . .] 100/6. Kelly 4*, Emrit 2*. 100 up but those 6 wickets have killed T&T.
38ov [W 2 . . . .] 98/6. Kelly 2*, Emrit 2*. Emrit dropped by Walton first ball! That was straightforward! Easy catch put down by Walton. He would not enjoy that at all. Bennett takes it well, turning and walking back to his mark but proceeds to pepper Emrit with short balls and he's ducking everywhere. The decision not to play Jason Mohammed is coming back to bite T&T in the bottom.
WICKET! S Ganga b Bennett 20. 96/6. Bennett squeezes that between Sherwin G's bat, seemed to have clipped the pad and nicked the stumps. It's all falling down rather quickly. No sustained fight from T&T - it has got to be said - a very poor showing with the bat in both innings. Their heads do not seem to be in it at all.
37ov [. . 2 . . .] 96/5. S Ganga 20*, Kelly 28. Kelly off the mark with runs into the on side. 180 to get for TT, 5 wickets needed by CCC.
36ov [. . . . . .] 94/5. S Ganga 20*, Kelly 0*. Maiden over by Bennett.
35ov [. . W W . .] 94/5. S Ganga 20*, Kelly 0*. A stunning and tremensdous over by Kantasingh who is undoubtedly the star of this match. A man of the match performance if ever there was one. kelly avoided the hat trick but Kantasingh is destroying his countrymen.
WICKET! I Khan c Jackson b Kantasingh 0. 94/5. FIRST BALL! Kantasingh has 10 in the match and is on a hat trick! T&T are falling to pieces at Jarrett Park.
WICKET! D Ramdin stp Walton b Kantasingh 17. 94/4. Kantasingh enjoyed that tremendously and celebrated with a Dollar Wine accompanied by a smile as broad as the mountain range behind him. He drew Ramdin down the pitch, beat him and Walton was tidy. Imran Khan comes to the crease with T&T in further trouble.
34ov [. . . 2 . .] 94/3. S Ganga 20*, Ramdin 17*. Austin is given a break after drinks. Jason Bennett will bowl from the Media Center End. Don't think either of the batsmen will mind facing Bennett instead of Austin.
That's drinks. The players take a breather and have a quick strategy chat. The equations are simple. CCC need wickets and T&T need to ensure that they do not lose any, take it to tea and reassess their position then
33ov [1 . . 1 . .] 92/3. S Ganga 18*, Ramdin 17*. Kantasingh 13-5-43-2. Tea will be taken at 3:40, an hour later than usual.
32ov [. . . 1 4 1] 90/3. S Ganga 17*, Ramdin 16*. Ramdin goes over mid wicket and cashes on on a loose delivery on the legs. If you're joining us late, TT are chasing 276 to win after the CCC declaration.
31ov [1 4 . . . 1] 84/3. S Ganga 16*, Ramdin 11*. Whipped off the pads by Sherwin G to the square leg boundary.
Jamaica have won their match against the Windward Islands by six wickets at Chedwin Park so the home side take full points after the first round.
30ov [. . . 1 . 1] 78/3. S Ganga 11*, Ramdin 10*. 55 overs to go (inclusive of 15 in final hour), 198 to get, 7 wickets in hand.
29ov [. . . . . .] 76/3. S Ganga 10*, Ramdin 9*. Exactly 200 runs to get with 7 wickets in hand.
28ov [. 1 . . 1 4] 76/3. S Ganga 10*, Ramdin 9*. Sherwin G lifts that straight over Austin's head and two bounces before crashing into the sightscreen. These boys are not playing for a draw.
27ov [4 2 . . . .] 70/3. Ramdin 8*, S Ganga 5*. Ramdin pulled to the midwicket boundary. Top shot that off a short ball by Kantasingh but the following straight drive for 2 was even better, regal. It was worth 4.
26ov [. . . 1 . .] 64/3. S Ganga 5*, Ramdin 2*. Austin too is putting more pace on the ball and getting bounce which is not making it easy for the batsmen, particularly Ramdin.
25ov [. . . . . .] 63/3. S Ganga 5*, Ramdin 1*. Maiden over by Kantasingh but Austin is also bowling extremely well at the other end.
24ov [. . . . . .] 63/3. S Ganga 5*, Ramdin 1*. CCC are abuzz, they are in command and on the hunt for an outright win. It looks like only the weather can prevent such a result.
23ov [. . . W . 1] 63/3. S Ganga 5*. Ramdin 1*. Clever bowling by Kantasingh varying his pace and getting a bit of drift in thick conditions. He now has 8 wickets in the match, only 2 away from a 10fer
WICKET! D Ganga c Reifer b Kantasingh 6. 62/3. Kantasingh really made Daren Ganga look very ordinary there. Beat his outside edge twice then gave the ball a little more pace and clipped the edge and Reifer made no mistake at first slip. That's a huge blow for CCC, Trinidad are in trouble, enormous trouble but they will have hope yet in Denesh Ramdin.
22ov [. . 4 . . .] 62/2. D Ganga 6*, S Ganga 5*. Sherwin G goes aerial wide of mid off. Good shot that but Austin won't mind being taken on. Still light drizzle across the field.
21ov [. 1 . . 4 .] 58/2. D Ganga 6*, S Ganga 1*. Sherwin G finally off the mark. Daren G looks to go over mid off but miscues and barely clears extra cover and it runs into the boundary. He gets two but that was a near miss again.
20ov [. . . . . .] 53/2. D Ganga 2*, S Ganga 0*. Second maiden by Austin after lunch. Keeping the pressure on. A couple of lbw shouts v Daren G and he's not looking all that comfortable v Austin. He was on the back foot to one lbw shout but it may have turned too much allowing him to escape.
19ov [. . . 1 . .] 53/2. D Ganga 2*, S Ganga 0*. First run after lunch to Daren G.
18ov [. . . . . .] 52/2. D Ganga 1*, S Ganga 0*. Second maiden after lunch. 4th maiden from Austin in this innings.
17ov [. . . . . .] 52/2. D Ganga 1*, S Ganga 0*. Back after lunch with Kantasingh starting off with a maiden. He and Austin can expect to bowl their arms out in these two sessions but the rain is not too far away. An interruption is almost certain soon. There is already a light drizzle across the field. T&T will be anxious to go off as soon as they can to burn time.
LUNCH: T&T are 52/2 having lost the openers Lendl Simmons (18) and Justin Guillen (31). The Ganga brothers are at the crease with Daren on 1 and Sherwin yet to score. T&T need another 224 from 54 overs (plus 15 overs in the last hour) with 8 wicket in hand. Losing 2 wickets before lunch were huge blows. They needed to go to lunch with the openers still in and Guillen looked in fine touch.
16ov [. . . . . .] 52/2. D Ganga 1*, S Ganga 0*. Third maiden in a row to lead into lunch. Austin changes his line, coming around the wicket now. What do you know, bright sunshne now. That came out of nowhere!
15ov [. . . . . .] 52/2. D Ganga 1*, S Ganga 0*. Kantasingh continues to probe away but Daren Ganga is equal to the task.
14ov [. W . . . .] 52/2. D Ganga 1*, S Ganga 0*. A wicket maiden for Austin. Trinidad and Tobago now in trouble. They needed runs from Simmons especially to make a run chase of this. CCC firmly on top and the sun is out to help them along as well.
WICKET! L Simmons c Phillips b Austin 18. 52/2. Simmons pushed forward and it hit the pad and lobbed to Phillips but Austin and fielders think that hit glove as well and Umpire Gustard agrees. Simmons is not happy but Ganga at the non-striker's end is livid. He does not seem to think that hit glove or bat.
13ov [. . . . . .] 52/1. Simmons 18*, D Ganga 1*. The umpires are taking some time from the lunch break to make up for lost time, There will also be a shortened tea break.
12ov [4 . 1 . . 1] 52/1. Simmons 18*, D Ganga 1*.
11ov [. 4 . 4 6 W] 46/1. Simmons 13*, D Ganga 0*. Guillen did not mucking around with Kantasingh. Hit him over his head and over mid wicket for fours then went over mid off for a six. He was in 5th gear but then perished to a sharp catch. Kantasingh was not fazed by being hit. He stuck it out and got his man. This Kantasingh kid has a very cool head on his shoulders.
WICKET! J Guillen c Phillips b Kantasingh 31. Guillen went after Knatasingh hitting him for two fours and a six then turned one into Phillips' hands at bat pad. Sharp catch. Kantasingh makes the breakthrough and has 7 wickets in the match thus far.
10ov [. . . . . .] 32/0. Guillen 17*, Simmons 13*. Simmons cross batted one back to Austin and he dropped it! Got both hands to it and should have hung on. Bad miss. Austin getting bounce and turn and looking dangerous he is.
9ov [2 2 . . . 4] 32/0. Guillen 17*, Simmons 13*, Guillen went after Kantasingh, not giving him a chance to settle.
8ov [1 . 4 . . .] 24/0, Simmons 13*, Guillen 9*. Simmons goes over mid on for 4. He's not closing shop just before lunch, getting on with it. It's how he bats. Now Kantasingh will come into the attack from his favoured Southern End.
7ov [. . 1lb . . .] 19/0. Simmons 9*, Guillen 8*. We'll we will have at least one over of spin before lunch. Austin will bowl next from the Media Center End.
6ov [. . 2 . . .] 18/0. Simmons 9*, Guillen 8*. Bennett is running in hard and tested Simmons with a short ball.
5ov [1 1 . . . .] 16/0. Guillen 8*, Simmons 7*. Neither of the pacers are looking threatening so it is only a matter of time before we see some spin. Surely an over before lunch.
4ov [. . 2 1 . .] 14/0. Guillen 7*, Simmons 6*.
3ov [. . nb . . 1 .] 11/0. Simmons 6, Guillen 4*. Both batsmen playing cautiously. Clearly they are looking to take it to lunch without any wickets down.
2ov [. . . 3 . 2] 9/0. Simmons 6*, Guillen 3*. Loud lbw shout v Guillen. That looked awfully close. Guillen may have been extremely lucky there thanks to Umpire Gustard. Bennett can't be happy with that denial.
1ov [. 4 . . . .] 4/0. Simmons 4*, Guillen 0*. Simmons gets off the mark with a powerful pull behind square for four. Fine shot. It is McLean who bowled the first over and it will be Bennett from the Media Center End to follow.
It will be Lendl Simmons and Justin Guillen to start off for T&T and more than likely Kevin McLean and Jason Bennett will share the new cherry. The key bowlers for CCC will be the spinners though - Kavesh Kantasingh who took six wickets in the first innings and Ryan Austin who got three. The pitch has stood up well but the spinner will get some more turn than before.
The T&T run chase will commence in a short while. Click on the link below to see the details from this morning's action.
END OF INNINGS: Reifer has called in Phillips with him with the lead 275. That means T&T will be chasing 276 to win from 70 overs plus 15 overs in the final over. This game has been deliciously set up by that declaration from Reifer. It's open now. T&T can bat well and secure a come-from-behind victory while the CCC can take out the Trinis having bowled them out for 107 in the first innings. The Trinis will be up against though as they are missing four key batsmen - the two Bravos, Barath and Pollard. CCC will have to be favourites for a win.
52ov [. 1W] 148/5. Phillips 70*. Reifer has declared.
WICKET! Reifer Run Out (Khan) 24. 148/5. Going for a second run and direct hit by Khan find Reifer short of his ground.
51ov [. . .1 . . ] 147/4. Phillips 70*, Reifer 23*. 50 partnership up.
50ov [1nb . . 1 3 1] 145/4. Phillips 69*, Reifer 22*. Making steady progress are CCC.
49ov [1 . . . 4 .] 138/4. Phillips 67*, Reifer 18*. Did not come out of the middle of the bat but Phillips gets 4 nevertheless going high over mid off. Looks like CCC are looking for a boundary each other now and willing to take the necessary risks.
48ov [1 . 4nb 1 1lb 1 .] 133/4. Phillips 63*, Reifer 17*. Rampaul 9-0-33-1. Brilliantly cut away by Reifer for four. Imperious shot by the captain.
47ov [1 . . 1 . .] 124/4. Phillips 62*, Reifer 11*.
46ov [1 1 2 nb . . .] 122/4. Phillips 61*, Reifer 10*. Phillips miscued the first ball and it ballooned just behind cover and Daren Ganga (at short cover) tried to run back but slipped in that soggy spot. He's not a happy camper.
45ov [. . . . . 1] 117/4. Phillips 58*, Reifer 9*. No discernible aggressive intent from CCC as yet. Batting quite restrained. Jaggernauth has been good though. Spot on.
44ov [1lb . . 1 . . ] 116/4. Phillips 57*, Reifer 9*. Those clouds are clearing just a little. Just enough to give increasing hope to the CCC of securing full points. Declaration will be key.
43ov [. . . . . .] 114/4. Phillips 56*, Reifer 9*. Maiden over by Jaggernauth.
42ov [1 . . 2lb 1nb 1 .] 114/4. Phillips 56*, Reifer 9*. Rampaul's either finding it difficult to find his line of he's deliberately bowling a leg stump line.
41ov [. . . 2 1 .] 108/4. Phillips 54*, Reifer 8*. Jaggernauth starts the morning off after the loss of the third day's play. Rampaul will bowl the next over. It will be interesting to see what decision the CCC takes re a declaration. Surely they will be looking to get some quick runs. Perhaps looking to set T&T something like 275. They are 235 ahead.
10:15am: Exceptional news. We will start the day's play at 10:25am. However the decision was preceded by some intense discussions between Daren Ganga and the umpires along with the match referee Hugh Perry and the ground officials. Ganga seemed very concerned about the state of the field immediately in front the cover region. One spot just before extra cover is in fact a bit soggy having been inspected but the umpires are satisfied that it is safe enough and have decided to call play.
10am: Work still being done on that trouble spot on the pitch created by seepage through the covers. It was rolled with the light roller for about 10 minutes after receiving the fire treatment (see previous update for details) and it is now being rolled with the heavy roller. The umpires and match referee are inspecting the work closely. Once the weather holds play could start in about 30 minutes or so but the weather holding is not looking too good a prospect. Umpires and the two captains are in an intense discussion now.
9:30am: Welcome to Jarrett Park. The news is markedly better when compared to yesterday. The covers are off even though it is still very much overcast and horribly frigid by Caribbean standards. To a man, everyone is in sweater. Unfortunately there was seepage on the pitch. The trouble spot is just in front the northern batting crease. The groundstaff has a piece of zinc sheet/galvanize over the spot and they have lit a fire to help it dry quickly. It looks to be working. Otherwise the pitch is fine. The outfield is in rather remarkable condition after being exposed to almost two fully nights and a day of persistent rain. There are a couple of wet areas as one would expect but nothing of major concern. The worry is that wet spot on the pitch which will need more intense fire or some blistering sunshine. One cannot be hopeful for too much sunshine today though. Clouds everywhere and they are ominous looking. We may get a start but perhaps in an hour's time at best. Fingers crossed.
1:45pm: The umpires have called it folks. That's it for today. The rain has gotten heavier and truth be told even if it were to miraculously cease now the outfield will need several hours to dry. So the players have thad lunch and will return to their hotels. Play will resume tomorrow at 9:30am but the truth be told even that is being a bit optimistic. Say a little prayer for sunshine and join us then.
12:20pm: No change in the rain pattern. Still a persistent light rain. The covers are on, the CCC players are having lunch. Presumably the umpires will make a decision sometime after lunch. We will keep you posted but it is not looking good at all. Local knowledge suggests there will be no play today given the heavy cloud cover and the steady rain. The outfield is wet but not waterlogged but will still need generous sunshine to dry up. Any sunshine today would be a small miracle. It's that bad.
At Kensington Park Leeward Islands are 80 for 1 with Montcin Hodge on 36 and Runako Morton on 19. The Leewards are in control against Barbados with an overall lead of 87 and nine wickets in hand.
Over at Chedwin Park Windward Islands are 88 for 4. They trail Jamaica by 66 runs and are in deep trouble. That match could end today if the Windwards do not hold out. Rawl Lewis was most impressive in the first innings and will need to deliver big again along with captain Darren Sammy.
11am: That drizzle has now become a persistent light rain. The mountain range in the distance which was clearly visible on days one and two has now disappeared behind thick clouds. Any play today is looking quite slim. The CCC players have been here from early and they must be praying for a miracle but the Trini players are snuggled up at their hotel. They will not be at all unhappy with this weather, it's saving them from an outright defeat with every hour that passes.
10am: Still no change in the weather. The drizzle is still holding up the removal of the covers. T&T will be delighted by this indefinite delay. The longer play is held up the less time CCC will have to build on their lead and the less time T&T will have to bat to save the match. A result is still possible but CCC will want to get on with it and secure full points. T&T really batted exceptionally poorly in the first innings and they cannot blame the pitch as they knew exaclty how it was going to play having seen the CCC first innings. They came out being ultra-aggressive and paid the fatal price. This is a pitch which needed application and dogged resistance which were not at all evidenced in the T&T innings.
9:30am: Welcome to Jarrett Park for Day 3. The news here is not very good folks. There was rain last night and all morning there has been a persistent drizzle which has caused the groundstaff to keep the covers on. It's thick and overcast. Very English conditions these are. We'll do well to get a start before lunch as the outfield is wet and will need to dry and one cannot see T&T captain Daren Ganga being anxious to field on it before it is properly dried, particularly given the position his team is in having already conceded first innings points mainly through to some rather poor batting. We will keep you updated throughout.
END OF PLAY: That's it for Day 2, rain and now near darkness which has set upon Jarrett Park quite quickly has
RAIN: A light shower has forced the umpires to call on the covers. The players are off just as Ravi Rampaul was given the ball to have a go at Reifer.
41ov [. . . W 4 4] 105/4. Phillips 51*, Reifer 8*. An action packed over that was. Mohammed completely flummoxed Walton then Reifer was in a no-nonsense mood, playing two imperious drives, one an on drive, the other an off drive, both scorching their way to the boundary.
WICKET! C Walton b Mohammed 13. 97/4.
40ov [. . . . . .] 97/3. Phillips 51*, Walton 13*. Maiden by Jaggy.
39ov [. . . . . 1] 97/3. Phillips 51*, Walton 13*. Just one in the over to Phillips who retains strike.

END OF PLAY: That's it for the 2nd day here at Jarrett Park. CCC are 105 for 4 giving them an overall lead 232 and that puts them in a commanding position to dictate this match. It's looking as though there will certainly be a result and CCC have got to think that they should win this. For T&T to prevent that they will need to deliver some extraordinary batting and they seem top heavy in the bowling department and thin in the batting department. Play starts on Day 3 at 9:30am (10:30am ECT). Join us then. In the meantime we will provide the details from the 21st over to the 40th over later this evening. Once again we apologise for the break in updates. We've rectified the problem and should be flowing freely tomorrow. Have a good one until.
RAIN: Rain has caused a stoppage. CCC are 105 for 4 with Omar Phillips on 51 to follow up his 88 in the first innings and his captain Floyd Reifer on 8 having just come to the crease.
41ov [. . . W 4 4] 105/4. Phillips 51*, Reifer 8*. Apologies for the break in updates. We're having some technical issues. We will fill in the missing overs at close of play. CCC have lost Currency ((4) and Walton (13). Reifer came in and struck consecutive fours from his first two balls off Mohammed.
21ov [1 2 . 4 . 1] 57/2. Phillips 26*, Currency 2*.

WICKET! S Jackson lbw Rampaul 11. 16/1. Rampaul does the trick by coming around the wicket.
6ov [1 . 1 . . .] 10/0. Jackson 5*, Phillips 3*. Kelly has straightened up his line and is causing some problems for Phillips.
5ov [. . 1 . . .] 8/0. Jackson 4*, Phillips 2*.

1ov [. nb . . . . .] 1/0. Phillips 0*, Jackson 0*. Rampaul starts off from the Media Center End. Kelly will bowl from the other end.
35ov [1 . . W] 107 all out. Jaggernauth 9*. CCC have blown away T&T in just 34.4 overs for a paltry score to take first innings points and a substantial lead of 127. They can now push for an outright win.
WICKET! R Rampaul lbw Kantasingh 0. 107 all out. Sixfer for Kantasingh who was no less than tremendous in dismantling the Trini batting.
34ov [. . W nb . . .] 106/9. Jaggernauth 8*, Rampaul 0*. Successful over for Austin getting the big wicket of Daren Ganga.
WICKET! D Ganga c Parris b Austin 44. 105/9. That's the big wicket. CCC has blown away TT so far. Just the last pair now. Can Rampaul do a Khishmar Catlin and hit a few lusty blows?
33ov [. . 1 . . .] 105/8. D Ganga 44*, Jaggernauth 8*.
32ov [1 . . 1 4 .] 104/8. D Ganga 43*, Jaggernauth 8*. Jaggernauth dropped by Bennet at mid off. Should have taken that easy. Went through him and for 4 instead.
31ov [1 1 1 . 2 .] 98/8. D Ganga 42*, Jaggernauth 3*.
30ov [. 1 . . . .] 93/8. D Ganga 39*, Jaggernauth 1*.
29ov [. . . . . .] 92/8. D Ganga 39*, Jaggernauth 0*.
28ov [. . 1 W W .] 92/8. D Ganga 39*, Jaggernauth 0*. Jaggy avoids the hat trick.
WICKET! D Mohammed c Jackson b Austin 0. 92/8. First ball Mohammed cuts hard to silly point where Jackson hangs on to another stunner! CCC is dominating TT completely.
WICKET! R Emrit b Austin 0. 92/7. Played all around that and had his middle stump rocked back!
27ov [1 1 . . W .] 91/6. D Ganga 38*, Emrit 0*. Serious headaches for the Trinis.
WICKET! R Kelly c Parris b Kantasingh 7.91/6. 5fer for Kantasingh! Excellent bowling from the left arm spinner. Very poor shot from Kelly, He slugged that straight to the man on the mid wicket fence. Did not have to move an inch!
26ov [. . nb 4 nb1 . nb . .] 89/5. D Ganga 37*, Kelly 6*. Erractic first over by Austin. Ganga dropped by Jackson off the 5th ball. Very difficult chance at short midwicket off a full blooded pull.
25ov [2 . . . . .] 81/5. D Ganga 37*, Kelly 1*. Ganga is playing appreciably more circumspect after lunch as opposed to before the break. Ryan Austin will now get his first bowl, replacing Khishmar Catlin
24ov [1 . 2 . nb 1 .] 79/5. D Ganga 35*, Kelly 1*. Ganga is the key now. If he falls CCC can take a huge first innings lead and press for an outright win.
23ov [. 2 . . 2 .] 74/5. D Ganga 32*, Kelly 0*. The only Trini playing for CCC is destroying his countrymen as he hunts a five-fer. Kantasingh is bowling splendidly here.
22ov [. . 4 1 . .] 70/5. D Ganga 28*, Kelly 0*. Catlin continuing after lunch from the Media Center End.
21ov [. . . . . W] 65/5. D Ganga 23*, Kelly 0*. Big problems for Trinidad but their captain - Daren Ganga - is still there and they have depth in the batting with Kelly, Emrit and Mohammed.
WICKET! I Khan c wkt Walton b Kantasingh 2. 65/5. Khan goes first over after lunch! Kantasingh strikes straight away as he induced a faint edge to the keeper. TT in a deep hole now.
LUNCH: 65/4. Daren Ganga on 23 and Imran Khan on 2. That session belonged to CCC. First last man Catlin boosted their score with a quickfire 25 then Kavesh Kantasingh (5-2-14-3) broke the T&T top order with some probing left arm spin bowling. There was also exceptional catching by CCC and Riefer's captaincy, as usual, has been spot on, ensuring that there was always pressure on the T&T batsmen who have paid a high price for being aggressive.
20ov [1 1 . . . 1] 65/4. D Ganga 23*, Khan 2*. And that's lunch! Some time for T&T to reflect on where things went wrong and plan their consolidation tactics.
19ov [2b . 2 . . .] 62/4. D Ganga 22*, Khan 0*. Ganga drove just over cover. Fielder almost got the finger to it.
18ov [. . . nb 3 .] 58/4. D Ganga 20*, Khan 0*. Khan edged just short of Reifer at 1st slip.
17ov [. W . . . .] 54/4. D Ganga 17*, Khan 0*. Kantasingh has TT in a spin! 3 for 12 from 4 overs. Outstanding bowling.
WICKET! Ramdin c Jackson b Kantasingh 3. 54/4. Phenomenal catch by Jackson at point. Ramdin cut that hard and Jackson flew to his left and took it stunningly! Big problems for TT!
16ov [. . 1 2 . 1] 54/3. D Ganga 17*, Ramdin 3*.
15ov [. . . W . .] 50/3. D Ganga 16*, Ramdin 0*. Wicket maiden by Kantasingh. Trouble for T&T.
WICKET! S Ganga c Phillips b Kantasingh 8. 50/3. Bounce was his undoing, got bat to it and was brilliantly taken by Omar Phillips at silly mid off, diving on the pitch.
14ov [. . . . . .] 50/2. D Ganga 16*, S Ganga 8*. Maiden by Catlin
13ov [. . 6 . . .] 50/2. D Ganga 16*, S Ganga 8*. Six over mid wicket by Sherwin. 50 off 75 balls in one hour.

WICKET! Simmons lbw Kantasingh 16. 40/2. Kantasingh strikes with his second ball! T&T on the backfoot.
10ov [4 . . . 1 .] 36/1. D Ganga 14*, Simmons 12*. Simmons drove but got a thick edge which flew wide of slip to the boundary. Kavesh Kantasingh now replaces McLean at the Southern End.
9ov [4 . 2 . . 4] 31/1. D Ganga 14*, Simmons 7*. Two short balls from McLean and Ganga gives them the treatment, hooking and slashing over gully. Khismar Catlin comes into the attack not to repalce Bennett.
At Chedwin Park Jamaica (chasing Windwards' 181) are 71 f 3. Captain Tamar Lambert is the wicket to fall this morning for 27. Brendan Nash and Donovan Pagon are at the crease.
8ov [. . . . 4 .] 21/1. Simmons 7*, D Ganga 4*. Simmons opened the face and gets 4 behind point.
7ov [2 . . 2 . .] 17/1. D Ganga 4*, Simmons 3*. Ganga off the mark with a cut for two then drives through cover for another double.
6ov [. . . . . .] 13/1. Simmons 3*, D Ganga 0*. Maiden by Bennett. Keeping it on and just outside off stump.
5ov [. . . . . 1] 13/1. Simmons 3*, D Ganga 0*. McLean trying to get some bounce but trying out a few short ones. Not much help from pitch.
4ov [4 . . . . W] 12/1. Simmons 2*, D Ganga 0*. Bennett makes the first blow, trapping Guillen (who was playing positively and looked in good touch) lbw with a full toss.
WICKET! Guillen lbw Bennett 10. 12/1. That was plumb! Full toss on middle stump missed by Guillen. In comes Captain Ganga.
At Kensington in Kingston, Barbados (chasing Leewards' 236) are 100 without loss with Dale Richards on 58 and Jason Haynes on 28.

1ov [. 1 . 1 . .] 2/0. Simmons 1*, Guillen 1*. McLean hanging outside off stump as Rampaul did when he started. Batsmen both looking compact.
Time for the TT run chase. Remember they are missing four key batsmen - Barath, the two Bravos and Pollard. Let's see how they approach this. Simmons is not the type of fella who will be bogged down.
98ov [. . W] Bennett 4*. That's the end of the CCC innings 234 all out from 98.3 overs. Some clean blows at the end by Catlin added valuable runs to their total.
WICKET! Catlin stp Ramdin b Khan 25. 234 all out from 98.3 overs. It's all over for CCC now after some fine hitting from Catlin.
97ov [1 4 nb 6 nb nb . 2 nb4 1] 234/9. Catlin 25*, Bennett 4*. Catlin's proving a strong case for promotion in the order. This is clean, sensible, calculated hitting. Rampaul off his guard but he did bowl Catlin with his 3rd no ball of the over. Miserable over from Rampaul, surely his last of the innings.
96ov [6 . . . . .] 212/9. Catlin 8*, Bennett 3*. Catlin smashed that over cow corner. Big blow. 2nd six of the innings.
95ov [1 2 1 . . 1] 206/9. Bennett 3*, Catlin 2*. Last pair giving it a go.

89ov [. . 1 . . 2] 198/7. Walton 26*, Kantasingh 6*. CCC getting up to 200 quickly. Kantasingh is no rabbit with the bat.
88ov [. . . . 4 .] 195/7. Walton 25*, Kantasingh 4*. Kantasingh off the mark with a pull over mid wicket. A few bounces into the boundary.
What do you know? Daren Ganga decides to start with spin. It's Imran Khan from the Southern End and it will be Ravi Rampaul from the Media Center End.
Welcome back to Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, Jamaica for Day 2 of Trinidad & Tobago v Combined Campuses & Colleges. Play will commence at 9:30am (10:30am ECT) to make up for lost time yesterday. Despite losing an hour at the start of play due to excessive moisture in the pitch T&T did well to get in as many as 87 overs. CCC will resume on 191/7 with wicketkeeper Chadwick Walton on 25 and Kavesh Kantasingh not yet off the mark. T&T will be looking to wrap up the innings as quickly as they can and get the run chase on but Walton & Co will want to put a spoke in their wheel and get the score as far over 200 as they can. Scoring is not the most friendly task on this pitch which is playing mostly low but also surprises at times with variable bounce.
END OF PLAY: 191/7. Walton 25*, Kantasingh 0*. Batsmen are offered light by the umpires and they accept. Has gotten dark quite quickly. Can't be easy to see out there.
87ov [. . . . . .] 191/7. Walton 25*, Kantasingh 0*. Mohammed completes his 6th maiden.

63ov [1 nb . . 4 W ] 146/4. Currency 33*. Tea is taken at the fall of Reifer's wicket. Crucial double blow just before the interval.
WICKET! Reifer c wkt Ramdin b Rampaul 4. 146/4. Nicked one that moved away to the keeper. Not a good start to the 2010 season for Reifer who had a phenomenal 2009 season scoring over 1000 runs. Good catch by Ramdin low down to his left. It was dying on him quickly.
62ov [. . . W . .] 140/3. Currency 32*, Reifer 0*. Wicket maiden for Jaggernauth who benefits from his decision to belatedly flight the ball.
Captain Floyd Reifer is the new batsman. The fans are abuzz at his arrival.
WICKET! Phillips c Guillen b Jaggernauth 88. 140/3. Prods it to silly mid off. Painful blow it must be, falling just 12 short of a ton after all the hard work had been done.
61ov [1lb . . 1 . .] 140/2. Phillips 88*, Currency 32*. 12 away from a ton is Phillips. Thoroughly deserving it will be despite the many chances he's had.

Imran Khan out of the attack and Jaggernauth in at the Southern End.
57ov [1lb 1 . nb . . nb .] 130/2. Phillips 84*, Currency 27*. A couple of lbw shouts. Rampaul bowling much straighter and fuller but too many no balls.
Out comes the third umpire with a box of balls. A repalcement is chosen and we'll get on with it.
56ov [1 1 . . 1 1] 126/2. Phillips 83*, Currency 27*. Batsmen milking the bowling and rotating the strike cleverly. Umpires seem concerned about the state of the ball. They are having a careful, prolonged look.
55ov [1 4 . . . .] 122/2. Phillips 81*, Currency 25*. Currency hits his second 4.
54ov [. . 2 . 1 .] 117/2. Phillips 80*, Currency 21*. Khan continues at the Southern End. Phillips is playing with growing confidence, easing to a ton he is.
53ov [1 4nb 1 . . . .] 114/2. Phillips 77*, Currency 21*. Both batsmen already looking much more compact and handsome against Rampaul as opposed to the spinners.

Omar Phillips and Simon Jackson to open the batting for CCC
First bit of mystery to be solved will be who will share the new ball with Ravi Rampaul? Richard Kelly or Rayad Emrit? Looks like Kelly if the warm-ups are to be believed.
10:40am: Finally some great news. We'll have an 11am start. Some of those gray clouds have left us and some drying was possible. Daren Ganga won the toss and T&T will field. T&T have left out Jason Mohammed and Sunil Narine while CCC will play without Kyle Corbin and Gilford Moore. 1 hour lost to the excessively moist pitch.
Over at Kensington Leewards (v Barbados) have won the toss and are batting. 10/0 after 4 ovs. Hodge 6*, Powell 2*. Leewards have left out Wilden Cornwall and Codville Rogers while Tino Best and Rashidi Boucher are out for Barbados
10:15am: Umpires just completed 10:05 inspection and the verdict is there will be another round of inspection at 10:30am. Not much drying of the moist pitch took place due to the overcast conditions. Gray clouds hanging everywhere, no sighting of the sun for over an hour now.
9:40am: Not good news here at Jarrett Park. There is excessive moisture in the pitch and the umpires will inspect at 10:05am so we will have a delayed start. Toss has been delayed as a result. Getting a bit overcast as well.
