That contest begins next Friday at Progress Park in Grenada. We will provide live text commentary from that crucial showdown as well. Please join us then. Final scores: Jamaica 226 (David Bernard 55, Tamar Lambert 41; Corey Edwards 6/41, Sulieman Benn 2/69) & 120 (Brenton Parchment 28; Pedro Collins 5/32, Sulieman Benn 4/50). VICTORY: Barbados win by 10 wickets!!!! 9ov [. 1 . . . 4] 54/0: Richards 31*, Brathwaite 20*. Brathwaite ends this one-sided contest with a classic cover drive for four off Dawes that advertises why he is rated so highly. 8ov [. . 1 . 4 .] 49/0: Richards 30*, Brathwaite 16*. Brathwaite late dabs to the vacant third man off Bernard.

So from us here at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva thank you for joining us and be sure to tune in next weekend for what looks to be a Championship Deciding match Between Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica. RESULT: LI 192 Guy 287 LI 192 Guy 99/5 Guyana Wins by 5 Wickets. 46ov [4 ] 99/5 Chanderpaul 32* Bishoo 0* Well there it is, Liburd drops short and Chanderpaul cuts infront of square for a boundary to get the remaining runs needed! 45ov [. . . . . .] 95/5 Chanderpaul 28* Bishoo 0* Bishoo seems to be in no big a hurry like Christian was as he sees out that Athanaze over. Still 3 needed!

17ov [1 . . 2 . 4] 100/2: Richards 55*, Hinds 2*. 50 for Richards. Well played. Controlled aggression from Richards seals the deal.
16ov [. 2 4 . . .] 93/2: Richards 49*, Hinds 1*. Just seven runs from victory now. Just a formality at this stage. Exceptional work by Barbados, more specifically Kemar Roach to fetch them victory.
15ov [. 1 . 1 . 1] 88/1: Richards 43*, Hinds 1*. 12 runs away.
14ov [4 . W 2 . .] 85/1: Richards 41*, Hinds 0*. A wicket for Austin but Barbados are just 15 runs away from victory and there are 14 overs to go. Wallace continues.
WICKET! K Edwards c Wallace b Austin 24. 83/2. Edwards goes high and hard for a six but hits into the wind and is caught by Wallace on the mid wicket boundary. Well judged catch and he was looking into the afternoon sun as well was Wallace.
13ov [1 . . 1 . 1] 79/1: Richards 40*, Edwards 20*.
12ov [1 . . . . 6] 76/1: Richards 39*, Edwards 18*. Wallace comes into the attack for the next over replacing Kantasingh at the Pavilion End.
11ov [3 . . 4 . .] 69/1: Richards 33*, Edwards 17*
10ov [. . . 4 4 1] 62/1: Richards 29*, Edwards 14*. DROPPED! Sharp chance to Reifer at first slip. He got a hand to it and put it down but if he had taken that it would have been a stunner. But in these situations you've got to haul those in. It was a genuine chance, not a half chance, 4 runs is the result for Edwards. And then he turns one fine off Austin to get 4 more.
9ov [. . . 1 1 1] 53/1: Richards 29*, Edwards 5*. The victory march is on. The strike being turned over nicely and runs being added up. 47 to get from 19 overs. Austin to continue from the Southern End.
8ov [. 1 1 1. .] 50/1. Richards 28*, Edwards 3*. 50 to get from 20 overs. Barbados cruising along without many alarms.
7ov [1 . 4 2 2 1] 47/1: Richards 27*, Edwards 1*. DROPPED! Richards looks to cut a ball too close for the shot, Edges and hits the keeper's gloves but Reifer at first slip fails to react and the ball rushes past him.
6ov [. . . . . .] 38/1: Richards 19*, Edwards 0*. Richards was comprehensively beaten by the 5th delivery of the over. Tries to go over long on, misses and is beaten by Austin. Maiden over. 62 to get from 22 overs.
5ov [1 3 . 4 . W] 38/1: Richards 19*, Edwards 0*. Kantasingh strikes and Haynes goes. Kirk Edwards is the new batsman. It is a double change, Austin comes into the attack replacing McLean.
WICKET! J Haynes b Kantasingh 13. 38/1. Haynes plays on the backfoot, misses and is bowled.
4ov [4 . 1 . 1 2] 30/0: Richards 16*, Haynes 8*. 8 runs from the over. 70 to get from 24 overs. Barbados should get there in a canter, especially if Richards remains at the crease. Speaking of canter here comes Kavesh Kantasingh, the tournament's leading wicket-taker to bowl his left arm spin. Looks like Austin will replace McLean at the top end as well.
3ov [. 1lb 3 1 . 2] 22/0: Richards 9*, Haynes 7*. 7 runs in the over. 78 more to get from 25 overs.
2ov [. 1 1 . . .] 15/0: Richards 8*, Haynes 2*. Just 2 from the over. CCC, not unpredictably, are spending a lot time setting fields, having team meetings and bowlers pulling in in their run ups etc. Gamesmanship?
1ov [. 4lb 4 2 1nb . 1] 13/0: Richards 7*, Haynes 1*. Barbados off with 13 runs from the first over so 87 to get in 27.
And now for the Barbadian run chase. It should be a cracker here at Grove Park (which is still good for batting) with Dale Richards - who only bats in fifth gear regardless of the circumstances - to start off with Jason Haynes. Jason Bennett with the new ball and no doubt Kevin McLean from the top end for the second over.
75ov [. . . . W] 187 all out from 74.5 overs: Austin *. Well that's that. CCC are all out for 187 and Barbados have exactly 100 to get in 28 overs. It should be an exciting chase but surely Barbados will fancy themselves.
WICKET! K Kantasingh b Roach 0. 187 all out. BOWLED DUNG! (Yes "dung" as opposed to "down"). That ripped the off stump out the ground and wicketkeeper Patrick Browne had to get out of the way of it. Seven-fer for Roach. That's how Test bowlers must bowl and Stuart Williams reckons that is the finest fast bowling performance ever in Nevis. Applause for Roach as he walks off. Roach 13.5-5-23-7. And in those figures he had 10 no balls so he effectively had 7 wickets for 13 runs. Career best figures: 7 for 23.
74ov [. . . . . .] 187/9: Austin 4*, Kantasingh 0*. 4th maiden in a row, 7 maidens and just one run since tea.
73ov [. . . . . .] 187/9: Austin 4*, Kantasingh 0*. Roach is wasting astonishing fast bowling on Kantasingh here. He's just not good enough to touch those blistering deliveries which are dancing this way and the other outside off stump.
72ov [. . . . . .] 187/9: Austin 4*, Kantasingh 0*.
71ov [. . . W . W] 187/9: Austin 4*, Kantasingh 0*. 99 run lead. Double blow in the over. Last pair at the crease now.
WICKET! J Bennett b Roach 0. 187/9: Middle stump is sent flying in the direction of fine leg. Bennett too is beaten for pace. Too quick, too straight. By the type he manages to drop the bat to the ground his stumps are scattered.
WICKET! G Wallace Run Out (Haynes) 1. 187/8: Wallace strays out of his crease and an alert Haynes at short leg gathers the ball and flicked it onto the stumps. Wallace is short of his ground. Fine work by Haynes, brilliant actually. Very alert and a sharp, accurate flick.
70ov [. . . 1 . .] 187/7: Austin 4*, Wallace 1*. Hinds continues from the Southern End but it might be time for Pedro Collins to have a good in tandem with Roach.
69ov [. . . . . .] 186/7: Austin 4*, Wallace 0*. That over was too good for Ryan Austin. That's the type of over Roach needs to keep in reserve to bowl to Jacques Kallis. Austin hardly had a clue, lacked the skills to get an edge.
68ov [. . . . . .] 186/7: Austin 4*, Wallace 0*. Maiden by Hinds.
67ov [. . . . . .] 186/7: Austin 4*, Wallace 0*. Roach continues after tea. Three more wickets to go so Roach could end up with an 8-fer. The way he is bowling it's not at all far-fetched. In fact it must be one of the more likely possibilities. Austin did well to keep him at bay in this over though.
TEA: CCC are 186 for 7 with Ryan Austin on 4 and Gavin Wallace yet to score. They lead by 98 with one session remaining. There was a crucial 79 run partnership for the 6th wicket between Chadwick Walton (43) and Kevin McLean (25) both of whom fought hard and hung in there to defy the Barbadians. If the CCC manage to scramble a draw they will be heavily indebted to those two. Roach though has blasted five of the CCC batsmen to bits. Had this performance been in a televised Test match it would have been heralded by all as unquestionably phenomenal. With the new ball Roach is quick and hostile but as the ball gets older he is lethal and deadly. The two spells - before and after lunch - were Malcom Marshallesque and that is high but deserving praise. Electric fast bowling from a youngster who set Australia alight before Christmas. And this kid does not only have brutal pace, he has cricketing brain, he knows what he is doing. He quickly adjusted his length and made the ball talk off the seam. No wonder Ricky Ponting - one of the greatest of all time - had such a torrid time against him. It speaks to his quality. Whatever happens in this match Roach must be the Man-of-the-Match.
66ov [1 1b 1 . .] 186/7: Austin 4*, Wallace 0*. That's tea and Kemar Roach has given Barbados another session despite an excellent partnership between Walton and McLean which stalled the Barbadian victory charge.
65ov [. . . . . W] 183/6: Austin 2*, Wallace 0*. That was a top class over from one of the finest fast bowlers on the international scene. Showing exactly what he is made of and why he will pick up a huge chunk of dollars in the IPL auction tomorrow.
WICKET! C Walton b Roach 43. 183/7: BOWLED DOWN! Beaten for pace. The bat wasn’t even half way down and the off stump nearly took out the wicketkeeper! Mercy me! That was, as Arrow would sing “HOT HOT HOT” 5fer for Roach and what a performance he has delivered here for Barbados. Worthy of the Man-of-the-match.
64ov [1 . 2 . . .] 183/6: Walton 43*, Austin 2*.
63ov [W . . . . .] 180/6: Walton 42*, Austin 0*. Wicket maiden for Roach. He needs to pick up another 2 wickets and it will be all but a formality. Ryan Hinds replaces Sharmarh Brooks at the Southern End.
WICKET! K McLean b Roach 25. 180/6: Commentator's curse. Roach delivers the wicket Barbados badly wanted. Cuts McLean in half and clips the top of middle stump. That had some pace on it and McLean couldn't handle it. Too hot. New batsman is Ryan Austin.
62ov [. . . . . .] 180/5: Walton 42*, McLean 25*. Maiden by Brooks. he responds well to him hit out the ground in the previous over. 92 run lead for CCC now. Barbados needs to break this partnership.
61ov [. . . 4 .] 180/5: Walton 42*, McLean 25*. Ryan Hinds has had enough. Best is repalced by - guess who - Kemar Roach. The guys under the tree on the midwicket boundary have come alive. They have been bawling for Kemar for the last 40 minutes. They get their wish. Cut away by McLean for four. The shot of a genuine top order batsman that.
60ov [1 . 1lb . 4 6] 176/5: Walton 42*, McLean 21*. Big six to end the over. Out of the ground! Walton went down the track and lofted Brooks over long on, over the sightscreen, over the road and into a nearby play field. Biggest shot of the match by some distance. And that followed a four.
59ov [. . 4b . . .] 164/6: Walton 31*, McLean 20*.
58ov [. . . . . 1] 160/5: Walton 31*, McLean 20*. Single to McLean.
57ov [2 . . . . .] 159/5: Walton 31*, McLean 19*.
56ov [. . . . . 1] 157/5: Walton 29*, McLean 19*. Charles off and Brooks on to deliver his variety of leg spin.
55ov [. . 2 . 1 .] 156/5: Walton 28*, McLean 19*. Tino's pace is not all that hot. A bit tired perhaps.
54ov [1 3 . . 2nb . 1] 153/5. Walton 25*, McLean 19*. 65 run lead.
53ov [. . . . 4b 1] 145/5. Walton 21*, McLean 16*. Drinks.
52ov [. . . . . .] 140/5: Walton 20*, McLean 16*. Maiden.
51ov [. . . 2 2] 140/5: Walton 20*, McLean 16*. (NB: Scores adjusted by official scorer once again)
50ov [. 1 . 1 . 1] 137/5: Walton 15*, McLean 18*. Batsmen are turning over the strike nicely against Charles now. They have his measure.
49ov [. . . 1nb . 1lb .] 134/5: Walton 13*, McLean 17*.
48ov [nb . . . . 1] 131/5: Walton 13*, McLean 16*.
47ov [1 2 . . . nb 2] 129/5: Walton 13*, McLean 15*. Double change, Collins off, Best on. He's keeping it at a fuller length as well. Not a single short ball that over. Must be a first for Tino. 38 ahead are CCC.
46ov [. 2 . . . .] 123/5: Walton 9*, McLean 14*. Hinds removes himself from the attack and brings on Charles, the leg spinner.
45ov [. . 2 2 . .] 121/5: Walton 7*, McLean 14*. Two fine shots into the on side first then behind point for doubles by McLean. Continues to look good. A few dark clouds gather but they seem as though they are not coming in the direction of Grove Park.
44ov [1 2 . . . .] 117/5. Walton 7*, McLean 10*. McLean is playing positively and batting like a true all rounder. Looking more confident than even Walton.
43ov [. . . . nb . .] 114/5: Walton 5*, McLean 9*. Another probing over by Collins but well neogtiated by Walton.
42ov [. . . 1 . .] 113/5: Walton 5*, McLean 9*. Miserly Ryan Hinds sends down another over from the Southern End.
41ov [. . . . 2 .] 112/5: Walton 4*, McLean 9*. Two runs more.
40ov [. . . . . .] 110/5: Walton 4*, McLean 7*. Maiden.
39ov [. . . . . 1] 110/5: Walton 4*, McLean 7*.Just a single.
38ov [. . . 2 . . ]109/5: Walton 3*, McLean 7*. Pedro Collins to bowl from the Pavilion End.
Back after lunch. Ryan Hinds to start at the Southern End. (NB: Scores were adjusted at lunch time by the official scorers. The score is 107 for 5, not 106 for 5 and Walton is on 3 and not 4 and McLean is 5.)
LUNCH: Barbados - to use a Sean Devers favourite - are "large and in charge". CCC 107 for 5 with Kevin McLean on 5 and Chadwick Walton on 3. CCC have erased the first innings deficit of 88 but are only 18 ahead. The way Kemar Roach is bowling the CCC should not last for too much longer after the interval. Roach 6-0-19-3. He's bowling with pace, genuine, hostile pace and getting the ball to 'talk' off the seam. He has rocked the CCC middle order and the lunch rest will give him a much needed rest (and the CCC team some respite) and he should run at CCC fresh after the meal. Surely he will be chomping at the bit to have a go. Rejoin us in 40 minutes for all the action.
37ov [1 . . . . .] 107/5: Walton 3*, McLean 5*. No no balls in that over but no wickets either. Amazing that Roach kept his foot behind the line for those wicket taking deliveries. That's lunch then and Barbados are well and truly on top. CCC are in a heap of problems here. The Barbados players are still taunting some of the dismissed CCC batsmen as they enter the pavilion. Loud shouts of "beaten for pace, beaten for pace" as the enter their dressing room. No doubt Reifer is the target as they are also mentioning "shouldering arms" which Reifer did when he was out. The Bajans know they are on the way to securing full points. It is just a matter of time. The weather looks good so that shouldn't prevent them.
36ov [1 . . . . .] 105/5: Walton 3*, McLean 4*. Hinds continues to tie it up from his end, not allowing very many runs.
35ov [. . . W 3 .] 104/5: Walton 3*. McLean 3*. No no balls in that over and another wicket for Roach as he is - wait for the cliche - slicing through the CCC batting like a hot knife through butter.
WICKET! N Parris lbw Roach 29*. BEAUTY! Got him! Plumb as ever! That one was quick and Parris was beaten for pure pace. If his pad wasn't in the way that would have shattered the middle stump. Roach is ripping apart the CCC middle order here. A superb spell. He must have heard Stuart Williams' sage advice to pitch it fuller. He has done that and is being rewarded. The world's hottest fast bowling merchandise is putting on a performance which people pay good money to watch.
34ov [1 . 1 . 1 2] 101/1: Parris 29*, Walton 3*. 100 up but CCC just 13 ahead with 4 wickets down.
33ov [. . nb . 3nb 1nb nb . W 1lb] 96/4: Parris 27*, Walton 0*. First ball pitched on off stump and moving away and left alone by Reifer. Second ball pitched on the same spot and came back and left alone by Reifer. Struck on the pads. The whole Barbadian team goes up. They were convinced that was going to shatter middle and off. They're probably right but umpire Weekes shakes his head in the negative. Lucky escape for the CCC captain. Kemar certainly thinks he had him and from the pavilion it looks like Kemar was right but the umpire is closer to the action. Maybe he say something we didn't. Another loud lbw shout. Reifer leaves alone and is taken on the pad. Not as close as the first lbw shout but close still. And the third shout got the wicket. Still struggling with the no balls is Roach.
WICKET! F Reifer lbw Roach 3. 95/4. Roach gets the big one again! Shout after lbw shout in that over and third time’s a charm for Roach. Umpire Weekes raises the finger finally. All three lbw shouts in that over looked out but Roach had to wait until the third time to get the wicket officially.
32ov [1b . . . . .] 87/3: Parris 26*, Reifer 0*. Hinds keeps Parris on strike. That means Roach will get a crack at Reifer. Remember he was Roach's only wicket in the first innings and Roach really shook him up. Roach will enjoy this opportunity. Let's see what happens.
31ov [. . . nb nb . . .] 86/3. Parris 26*, Reifer 0*. 2 no balls in the over to spoil it. He's bowling quickly and bowling a little fuller as suggested by Stuart Williams.
30ov [. . . 1 . .] 84/3: Parris 26*, Reifer 0*. Tino Best seems to be the designated spokesperson of the Bajan team in the field, as Ryan Austin is for CCC.
29ov [. nb W . nb nb . . nb .] 83/3: Parris 25*, Reifer 0*. Got the wicket but has a no ball problem. Had to re-measure his run up. Four no balls in that over. Importantly the wicket ball was legal.
WICKET! R Currency b Roach 11. 80/3: Played on! Currency comes forward and plays for outswing but that one holds its line and gets the inside edge and crashes onto middle stump. Bails fly everywhere. Roach is delighted. Currency shouldered arms to the first ball and is hit - flush and hard - on the rib cage. Did not pick up the line of that one at all and it softened him up well. Reifer comes in. He’s the match. His wicket is key. The big one in this CCC line up. If the Bajans can remove him they will be confident of being able to pull off a win this afternoon.
28ov [. . . 1 . .] 79/2: Parris 25*, Currency 11*. Another tight over by Hinds. Keeping the pressure on.
27ov [. . . . 1 .] 78/2: Parris 25*, Currency 10*. A ha! First bowl for Kemar Roach this morning. Stuart Williams is with us here and suggesting that he has started bowling a good length for Perth but not for Grove Park. Needs to be a fuller Stuart suggests. And he must know. Born and bred Nevisian who must have played a thousand games on this pitch.
26ov [. 1 . . 1 .] 77/2: Parris 25*, Currency 9*.
25ov [. . . 1 4 4] 75/2: Parris 24*, Currency 8*. Currency off the mark but should not be. Straight drives back to Charles but he misses it and it goes to the boundary. Follows up with an on drive for another 4. Fine shot.
24ov [. 4 . 1 . .] 66/2: Parris 23*, Currency 0*. Parris goes over mid on. First runs off the bat for four overs. Currency still not yet off the mark.
23ov [. . . . . .] 61/2: Parris 18*, Currency 0*. Currency using his feet to Charles but not finding the gaps.
22ov [. . . . . nb .] 61/2: Parris 18*, Currency 0*. Hinds spoils the over by delivering a no ball. Criminal that he is overstepping as he is almost walking to the crease. Parris playing him on the backfoot. Dangerous ploy.
210v [. . . 2 1 .] 60/2: Parris 18*, Currency 0*.
20ov [. . . . . .] 57/2: Parris 15*, Currency 0*. Consecutive maidens now. Hinds switching from over the wicket to around consistently.
19ov [. . . . . .] 57/2: Parris 15*, Currency 0*. Spinners are racing through the overs. Maiden from Parris. He's bowling well. Much more accurate than he has been all match.
18ov [. . . 2 . 1] 57/2: Parris 15*, Currency 0*.
17ov [2 . 1 . 3 W] 54/2: Parris 12*, Currency 0*. Another successful over for Charles. CCC needs to bat time. The spinners have them on the back foot, literally and figuratively.
WICKET: O Phillips c Richards b Charles 20. 54/2. CCC in trouble now. 2 wickets down before lunch. Charles is producing the goods for Barbados and putting severe pressure on CCC. Another wicket or two before lunch and they will truly be under the pump.
16ov [. . 2 . . 2] 48/1: Phillips 17*, Parris 9*.
15ov [. . . 1 . .] 44/1. Phillips 17*, Parris 5*.
14ov [. . . . . 1] 43/1. Phillips 17*, Parris 4*.
13ov [nb . . 1 . . .] 42/1: Phillips 17*, Parris 3*.
12ov [. 4 . . . .] 40/1: Phillips 17*. Parris 2*. Cut fine for four by Phillips.
11ov [W . 2 . . .] 36/1: Phillips 13*, Parris 2*. Charles gets a wicket in his first over. He doesn't always bowl spot on but can produce wicket-taking deliveries and produced one first up.
WICKET: S Jackson c wkt Browne b Charles 17. 34/1. First ball wicket for Charles. He's not always on target but produces wicket taking deliveries and did so first up.
10ov [. . . . . .] 34/0. Phillips 13*, Jackson 17*. Maiden from Hinds.
9ov [. . . . 2 4] 34/0. Phillips 13*, Jackson 17*. Last ball cut away. No finesse, loads of power. Hit hard, less timing. Screams to the boundary.
8ov [1 . . . . nb 2] 28/0. Phillips 13*, Jackson 11*. Ryan Hinds brings himself into the attack.
7ov [. . 2 1 1lb .] 25/0: Phillips 11*, Jackson 10*. One loud lbw shout by Collins, the keeper and the slips. Not upheld by umpire Weekes. A leg bye is the results.
6ov [. . . 2 . 4 ] 21/0: Phillips 8*, Jackson 10*. BOOM! Short and wide and Jackson clobbers it over mid wicket. That was a thumping shot. Not textbook, just a hard lash!
5ov [. . . . nb . .] 15/0: Phillips 8*, Jackson 4*. DROPPED! Now Brooks genuinely stuffs that up. He's at 2nd slip but it is really 1 and a half slip, standing way too close to Dale Richards who is in 1st slip. Thick healthy edge is induced from Phillips' bat by Pedro Collins. Richards would have swallowed that but Brooks dives in front of him and grasses it. Unlike Tino, Pedro calmly walks back to his mark and gets on with the business.
4ov [. . nb2 4 . . 1] 14/0: Phillips 8*, Jackson 4*. Close shave. Phillips edges just past Brooks at 2nd slip. Tino is loud and belligerent. No surprises there. He thinks that should have been taken but he's not being realistic. That would have been miraculous if Brooks could have hung on to it. Not even sure that was a chance. Got no hand to it. It was quick and too wide of him. Phillips gets a 4 in the end. First boundary of the innings.
3ov [. . . . . .] 6/0: Phillips 1*, Jackson 4*. Maiden over by Collins. The conditions have cleared up nicely. Sunshine out and Best is ready to attack Phillips with short balls again.
2ov [. . . . nb3 . .] 6/0: Phillips 1*, Jackson 4*. Tino Best bowls the second over to follow Pedro Collins' first over. Excellent short ball from Tino to end the over. Fast and on target. Clobbers Phillips on the shoulder. Second time in the match he's been hit on that shoulder. He's not been handling genuinely quick short balls very well. Flinching and taking his eyes off it and is getting hit. Dangerous approach for an opening batsman to take really.
1ov [. . 1 . 1 .] 2/0: Phillips 1*, Jackson 1*. We're off and both batsmen are off the mark with singles.
9:33am: At 9:29am the stumps were removed and the covers were almost on the pitch. The groundstaff anticipated a shower which was quickly approaching. Then it seemed to have stalled and there was bright sunshine so the umpires instructed that the stumps be put back up. That was done and Barbadian players came out and Pedro Collins marked his run up. Before the CCC openers arrived the rain came. It was a sharp shower so the groundstaff rushed on with the covers. The shower quickly passed and the covers were removed once again. The players are now back out. 5 minutes of pure action and nothing involving a cricket ball or bat. We'll start in a minute or two unless the weather decides otherwise.
9:25am: Good morning all. Thanks for joining us for this final day of Barbados v Combined Campuses and Colleges. We start in five minutes. The conditions are much hotter than they have been all match. After an entire day was lost to rain yesterday Barbados will want to run hard at CCC as they commence their second innings with an 88 run deficit. It could be a very intriguing day if Barbados manage some early wickets today. The prisoners cum groundmen are making the final preparations to the pitch and the umpires will be out shortly.
1:50pm: The umpires, at 1:45pm officially abandoned play for today. Too much rain. It's still coming down and there is no sign of it letting up. In fact it has been coming down much harder in the last few minutes. Barbados will not be happy with this situation as they have an 88 run lead and were looking for a full day of cricket in order to have a go at the CCC batsmen in their second innings and try for an outright result to move up from 4th position on the points table after losing first innings points and drawing their match against Leewards in Jamaica. We'll resume at 9:30am tomorrow weather permitting. Have a good Sunday afternoon and an even better evening.
1:20pm: Still raining here at Grove Park. Steady, persistent, continuous. Play on day three is looking more and more unlikely. Thick clouds in the east have made it impossible to see Saddle Hill.
12pm: It's pouring down now folks. Much heavier than at the time of the last update. Lunch time is upon us so the players will have the meal and we will have to wait and see. That's the game we're playing here wait-and-see.
11:30am: Still raining here at Grove Park. That frustrating 'white rain' which is not pouring down but blowing steadily across the field. The dominoes are out in the dressing rooms now. Lots of action there.
11am: A steady rain has been bucketing down for the past 20 minutes. Any play before lunch now seems out the window. Both teams are here and seem to be playing some card games and relaxing in the dressing rooms.
10:25am: That sharp shower has passed and the sun is out but the ground staff are not yet keen to remove the covers. Saddle Hill is about 3 miles to the east as the crow flies and that's where the rain comes from. And it covers those three miles of so rather quickly. Ground staff is erring on the side of caution as they think there is some more rain behind that hill and one would have to agree with them as the sky is dark in that direction.
10am: Welcome to Grove Park in Nevis folks. Not very good weather this morning so we will not start on time. Some steady downpours this morning island wide and the outfield is wet and the covers are still on the pitch. The weather has taken a turn for the better but there is rain in the distance and the locals say a shower will shortly be upon us. The first two days here were beautiful for cricket but not so this morning. We'll have a start somewhere closer to, if not after lunch given this shower to come. We will keep you posted. Stay tuned.
STUMPS DAY 2: Barbados all out for 301 in response to CCC's 213. They have a 88 run lead and when play resumes on day three they will go hard at CCC and press for an outright win. Kevin Stoute played a fine hand for Barbados with 74 and there was a solid 52 from Jason Haynes at the top of the order with contributions all the way through from most of the batters. 4 for 87 for Ryan Austin and 3 for 57 for Gavin Wallace. (NB: If you notice some slightly different individual scores on the scorecard it is as a result of the official scorer making some adjustments).
95ov [. 4 4 . . W] 301: Collins 0*. 300 up with consecutive fours from Tino off Austin. The dressing room is enjoying his batting. But Austin gets revenge as Best tries to pull a straighter delivery and umpire Luther Kelly sends him on his and that's the end of the day's play.
WICKET! T Best lbw Austin 28. 301 all out. Barbados take a first innings lead of 88.
94ov [. 1 . . . .] 293/9: Best 20*, Collins 0*. Collins succesffully negotiates the last four balls of that over after Best took a single.
93ov [2 . 4 . 1 .] 292/9: Best 19*, Collins 0*. Fine shot behind square leg for four by Tino. Not quite a sweep, not a pull. Something in between.
92ov [. 4 . 1 . .] 285/9: Best 12*, Collins 0*. Swept away by Best for four. Barbados have a first innings lead of 71.
91ov [. 1 W . . .] 280/9: Best 7*, Collins 0*. Another successful over by Austin.
WICKET! P Browne c Phillips b Austin 6. 280/9. Plays with hard hands and it goes straight to Phillips at short leg. Austin is slicing through the lower order. Down to nine wickets now are the Bajans. Last man Pedro Collins comes out.
90ov [. . . 1 . .] 279/8: Browne 6*, Best 6*. Kantasingh continues to probe away looking for the last 2 wickets.
